I've just descended out of the snow and completed the hardest road climb I've ever undertaken on a bike in my life. From Porto, my starting point, to the summit, I've dragged my 55kg bike over numerous mountain ranges totalling 5000 meters of vertical ascent! Ridden in temperatures ranging from 24 degree's in the valley's, to -15 on the tops with massive snow drifts, driving wind and sleet! Portugal has been brutal and yet incredibly beautiful, with amazing scenery and fantastic roads. It feels awesome to get the 1st one done! Now it's on to the Spanish border, then a 600km crossing to Sierra Nevada and pinnacle #2 Mulhacen!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
